Another thing that chaps my ass
People who say that they want to know what's going on, that say they carr, yet they make NO effort to be involved! Don't get mad at me for not stopping to call when I have a home to run, meals to cook, kids to take to the doctor, etc. Retirement means you can move at will and without planning....I on the other hand can't just put everything on hold to make a call to you. And since um taking care of 4 people as opposed to just myself, I have a tendency to forget shit....get over it already!
Now, for the fun stuff! I finished to ty-du socks in tropical...i love them! I'm now working on a pair in magenta moss...which incidentally matches my vera bradley stuff! I tried to make some socks from the silk garden sock that I bought, but the inconsistency of the thickness/thinness of the yarn was crazy, plus there was a knot where it broke and they just tied another colorway onto it....which really pissed me off. So the noro will become a scarf or something. The kids got me a gift of yarny goodness for mothers day...a ball of ty dy, and a skein of lana grossa meilenweit in sunset. I'm a happy happy yarn ho!
I also tried the square needles, but didn't like where the cable joined the needle because I had to fight to get the yarn over that joint :(....but if they fix those joints I am all over those needles!
All that being said, I will leave you with some eye candy for your viewing pleasure.....

Storms and knitting
Well another pair of socks are off the needles and another pair is about to be cast on. That being said, the owner of one of the yarn shops I frequent asked what method I use to knit my socks and I told her magic loop. She said that I should give 2circs a try, as it's less "damaging" to the socks. So I think to myself....hmmmmm, I can't take her class because it takes two separate Saturdays, but I've taught myself pretty much everything I know about knitting, so I bet I can this too so I hook on over to youtube and found some videos by cat bhordi, and so tonight I will try it out. I'll keep y'all posted.
It's storming again lots of thunder and lightning, but not a whole hell of a lot of rain, when rain is what we so desperately need. Especially with all the fires.
I took the kids up to my mother in law yesterday..and will go and get them tomorrow, but the silence has been quite pleasant.
Well, its back to my socks...wish me luck!

Zauber mojo
I'm liking this yarn quite a bit so far, and decided that since the yarn was so unusual, I'd go with the mojo socks.
That being said I'm on the verge of losing my freaking mind....when you say you understand, then go off the handle cuz you don't like the way shit is working out, yet YOU don't do anything to get the result you want don't bitch at me about it.

Omg.....I'm in love!
Seriously! I am totally in love with this yarn....and I decided to go ahead with the contrasting toes and heels. I'm just about halfway to being ready to stay my heels...and here's a pic to show you the beauty of this yarn.

What the hell!?!?
So my dog has decided that there will be no ignoring her by knitting.....she has been stalking me thru the house. Every time I sit down she wants up in my lap. As you can see, I am now her body pillow. If I try to push her off she gives me a long-suffering look and did her paws in....i guess the socks are pissing her off. Though on a much more comfortable note I have started the ribbing. Which means that once they are finished I can start the next pair using three paca-peds h-t I got at the DFW FiberFest on Friday. The name of the colorway is "spring in my step"but to be honest the colors remind me of the sunrises in Aruba. I can hardly wait to get started on them....although if Daisy has anything to day about it I won't be starting therm as soon as I'd like :( It's actually unusual for her to do this, she tends to prefer my husband for this kind of attention, so since I'm not generally the recipient of her clinginess, I'm gonna enjoy it....and leave you with a picture!
